Cheeses of the Pyrenees (Spanish and Catalan version), are a continuation of “Formatges de Calatunya”. The authors travel through the Pyrenees to deepen their artisan cheeses and especially into their even more special cheese makers. After a long tour through the Atlantic, Central and Eastern Pyrenees, the authors and experts in cheeses; Natalia Nicolau and Laia Ponts, accompanied by the photographer Ferran Castrillo, tell us about their 50 favorite artisan cheeses in these areas. Through a thorough field work, they visit the cheese artisans to present them in three chapters according to the area. Each chapter begins with a cover, followed by an explanation, maps and numerous photos that portray the spirit of the trip. The idea is to see what they saw, animals and landscapes, before meeting the producers. This time, unlike the previous book, the stars are the cheese makers themselves. They are presented one by one in doble pages with a full page picture and the producer’s file.
